How to get here

Arrival information will be sent out automatically one month before you arrive in the form of a digital guide.  Each property has its own digital guide with directions on how to get there.

Driving

Junction 5 off the M25.  Head for the A21 towards Hastings.  Stay on A21 – continue until Flimwell (through Lamberhurst).  At the traffic lights on the A21, you want to turn left onto the A268 towards Hawkhurst.  Continue through Hawkhurst, Sandhurst and then Newenden, after the Old Mill on left take the next left to Rye (7 miles – still the A268).

Follow the road through Peasmarsh, Rye Foreign, down a hill into Rye and you will reach a roundabout (with Skinner’s garage on right).  Turn left at roundabout towards Camber/Folkestone A259.  Go over the bridge out of Rye, follow till the road bends slightly left, there is a turning right signed to CAMBER and Lydd. TURN RIGHT.

This is the coastal road (bendy), with lots of sheep. Go past the Rye Golf Club, and you hit Camber.

By Train

The new high-speed train from St Pancras to Folkestone has revolutionised train travel to Camber!  It is only 37 minutes to Ashford from St Pancras and then you can either take a taxi (30 mins) or change trains to the Rye train (approx 20 minutes) – check out train times and connections with www.thetrainline.com  Alternatively trains run from Charing Cross or Victoria and takes 1 hour 20 to Ashford changing for Rye.   Taxies are then available from the station to Camber (7 minutes), or you can cycle!

Airport

The easiest airport is Gatwick – from Gatwick Airport you go to either Brighton, Eastbourne or Lewes and change to Rye.  It is approximately 2 hours – do take a look at the above link for train travel.  You can hire cars at all major airports.  From Heathrow Airport, it is suggested to catch the tube on the Piccadilly line into Central London to St Pancras and then train to Ashford.
